Jerry Nguyen's memorial was wonderful. SEM parents Carlos and Monina Avalos graciously led the memorial. Monina designed a collage which attendees contributed their thoughts and memories of Jerry written on satin ribbons. There was beautiful music by three orchestra members along with Vicki Luna who played the piano as well as sung Amazing Grace. Students, teachers, Jerry's Boy Scout leader, his middle school principal, and Ms. Huitt all spoke about Jerry from their heart, with Jerry's sister Jamie finishing the program as only a sister could.
There were others who contributed food for the reception but did not use the vounteer form, including friends and family... so we want to thank them as well as the following for providing a feast of wonderful food for the reception. Nora Mercado, Rosalba Hernandez, Cathy Lux, Cindy Gonzales, Hannah Lee, Thomas Liou, Xin Li, Songlan Tang, Blake Wolff, Michele Wolff, Frances Arkusinski, John Arkusinski, Angie Goberna, Susan Samore, Loc Mai, Carol Shuey, Charles Mercado, Nora Mercado, May Nguyen, Vicki Luna, Marianne & Francois Leclerc, Ms. Huitt, Ms. Kashyap, Mr. Moore, Margi Evans, and Songlan Tang.
We came together and truly have given Jerry a wonderful memorial. Thank you to everyone contributing.
