The parents share their perspectives of SEM and answer parent-to-parent questions. We will also sell refreshments as a fundraiser and need at least 6 people to work sells.

Enter today! The photography piece must be the student's own interpretation of the Law Day theme - "American Democracy and the Rule of Law: Why Every Vote Matters". A narrowed topic is recommended within this theme. Must be original recent work taken after June 1, 2013. See pages 8-9 of the attachment for rules and guidelines.

For all of those people with New Year's Resolutions, We will begin the next Jay Johnson Boot camp session January 7th Tues/Thurs from 5:30-6:30 am.
All Staff, PSAT Members (including students) are able to participate. $55 for a 4 week session. Members Jay Johnson boot camp members are eligible to participate at any Jay Johnson location once they submit payment to SEM.
Tahj won a Nexus 7 tablet! Tahj attended the Egg Drop Challenge! November 21. It was hosted by a team of engineers from the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers of UT Dallas. They worked with our students to engineer a system that protects an egg in a fall. All attendees received an entry ticket to a raffle for a Nexus 7 tablet and Tahj Preston won! Congrats to Tahj for not only having the good fortune to meet and work with some awesome engineers, but for having good luck as well!.
7th Annual Mayor's Intern Fellows Program is an 8 week (Jun 18- Aug 8)PAID summer internship program that introduces students to careers and employment opportunities at some of the finestcompanies in the city. Open to rising 2014-15 Juniors and Seniors who are eligible to work in the US, are 16 years old by June 16, 2014, GPA of 85%, solid attendance record, an able to attend one day training session. Our Murali Subramanian, a student here at the School of Science and Engineering, submitted concept drawings of a streetcar station as well an essay describing his design.
