Parent Portal Accounts are available for all students. If you would like access to Parent Portal, please fill out the liability and consent form. Send the form and a copy of your license to school with your student or bring the form and show a copy of your license at the front desk. Receive your account user name and password within 48 hours.
Students may rent a locker and lock for the school year for $5.00. Sales will last from 9/2/2016-9/9/2016. Please see Mr. Peak during “C” lunch by the SEM lockers on the third floor.
New Students/ Never rented a lap top
If your child is new to SEM or has never rented a lap top, a parent or guardian must attend a lap top training meeting on one of the following dates:

Returning SEM students and rented a Lap Top 2015-2016
If your child is a returning SEM student and has rented a lap top during a previous year, you must view the Power Point Presentation (click here for the link) on line and fill out the updated paperwork.
Lap Top Rental Fee: $20.00
Please pay the fee and submit completed paperwork in the front office during “C” lunch.
Proof of Insurance is not required. Please note you may be responsible for the cost of a damaged or lost/stolen lap top.
Lap top distribution will begin Friday 9/9/16 and continue through 9/16/16. Students will pick up lap tops during the following classes.

Please check your student’s grade on Gradespeed. SEM teachers offer tutoring before school and after school. Have your child check with his or her teacher for their schedule. Activity buses run Monday-Thursday at 5:30 pm.
SEM Club Recruitments
Clubs/ and organization recruiting for all SEM students will be Wednesday September 28th in front of the SEM lockers on the 3rd floor from 4:15-5:00 pm. There will also be an meeting for SEM freshman interested in student council on the same day in room 333 at 4:30
The current ranking listed on each seniors transcript is their 2nd semester junior ranking. Dallas ISD seniors receive a new ranking after the end of the first six-weeks. We have made a request to receive TAG and SEM rankings prior to this period because of our “No Rank” policy. We will keep you posted on outcome of this recommendation.
Students will receive brochures next week in English and Spanish providing a brief explanation of the contents and where to find them on the website during the Student Code of Conduct meeting. In addition, students will receive a copy of the Acknowledgement Receipt Form in English and Spanish.
The process basically includes an online form, and you go thru a short presentation of the rules of engagement with students, how to dress, which restroom to use, etc. and then sign your application electronically. You should receive your email confirmation right away. Entire process takes ~20 minutes.
