Note: please consider making a donation toward a yearbook for a student who can't afford one. Any amount is appreciated... online here or via envelope.
Please order your yearbook online or by cash/check dropped in our PTSA lock box in the office. Envelopes are available in the office.
Yearbooks are distributed at the great “unveiling” annual yearbook signing party! The yearbook signing party is FUN... food/drink/games... and only students receiving a yearbook are allowed to attend.
We are still requesting donations, and have donated books available to gift to students who cannot afford them. Please contact Marianne Leclerc (email@example.com) to make a request or get more information.

We invite your students to participate in our 2nd annual Teen Media Expo. The Expo’s awards total $3,000 in three creative categories and we will now give a matching award to the school or designated charity of the Gold level Winners in Poetry, Photography, and surreal Art (which includes fashion, design and mixed media submissions). We hope that winning students will use the award money toward college, art supplies, and other artistic pursuits.
ZO’s personal goal for the Teen Expo is to foster and support our next generation of artists and possible contributors. To that end, we offer students one free entry per category. We are wishing you a great school year!
Free Youth Leadership Conference
art if y (verb) 1. The dynamic acts of social change through which new objects and practices emerge and relationships and institutions are transformed.
Artify is a dynamic youth leadership conference that brings youth (ages 13-19) and supportive adults from across the Metroplex together to build youth leadership skills, equip youth-serving professionals with tools for supporting youth in leadership roles, and expand youth-adult partnerships in the Metroplex. In addition, Artify seeks to :
1) Show that experiences may inform who you are, but don't have to define who you are.
2) Build a sense of inclusion and belonging.
3) Demonstrate that the fine arts can be used as a tool for creating community change.
4) Provide support and space for youth to practice developing messages of change.
Artify features dynamic speakers, whose messages will inspire participants to pursue their passions and act in the face of adversity.
During break-out sessions, participants will engage in meaningful conversations in small, tight-knit teams to develop strategies for creating and promoting community change. Have a dream that you want to follow? Are you frustrated by not having your voice heard or a lack of progress in seeing your dream become a reality? Want to connect with other leaders who are doing similar work? Are you a youth-serving professional who wants to be more effective in your work with youth? If you answered yes to any of these, Artify is the place to be!
Join us from June 23-24 at the University of Texas at Arlington School of Music (700 Greek Row Dr, Arlington, TX 76013) for a two-day conference that is sure to bring you one step closer in achieving your goal. Feel free to share with friends, family, and others who may be interested.

WRITE-A-CHECK FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN
Are you ready to do your part to support the SEM students and teachers? Here’s your chance! The PTSA at SEM is kicking off our easiest, most pain-free fundraiser of the year: the Write-aCheck Campaign. 100% of every dollar donated goes directly to supporting the SEM students. To participate, simply write a check to SEM PTSA and send to the school, or use our online form to indicate the amount of your donation and proceed to checkout. Your donation is used to provide special programs, activities and events for the students, and to provide for the academic and social needs of the SEM students and staff. Want to DOUBLE the power of your contribution? If your company provides matching donations for charitable contributions, please indicate that and we can provide assistance in making the application to our employer. Thank you in advance for your support and participation in this important fundraiser!
